Arrival to Arrakis


Another piece for my Dune Project... Yeah, sometimes you just gotta do a cheesy space scene hahaha ;P

    cheesy or not your landscape paintings ALWAYS inspire me lol maybe put something in the foreground tho like an incoming ship or an astroid or.. LOL? I dunno I'm not a landscape pro so I don't know much but i think the distance from the ships to the planets don't quite register i think, but its space... so i guess it wouldn't matter LOL

    thanks man! yeah, I tried out blocking in another spaceship in the very foreground, but then I decided to scrap it. I just wanted to leave the feel of the vast space. I might gonna revisit it with a fresh eye in a couple of days though...

    I love it! Great sense of scale. feels very epic :)

    Maybe tone down the nebula in the background to pop the ships a little more. They seem to be getting a bit lost

    Looks awesome, and love the color.

    I agree with Pete, the ships are becoming hard to spot, maybe add some burst of lights from the ship?

    Mark, I had no idea. You quiet guys are always the powerhouses. Have to jump on Peter's wagon regarding featuring the ships. And although I question his ethics and choice of clothing, I think Jeremiah had a good suggestion regarding the FG element, although, as is, the vastness is palatable!!
