I have done these for an upcoming steampunk web series. You probably have seen these floating on FB, but I thought I drop them here as well to keep the blog going... :)

Steampunk Pirates - Workshop in ImagineFX 92
As the issue 92 of the super awesome ImagineFX magazine hit the shelves today, I got permission from the publisher to show a little sneak peak of the workshop I have done for it.
As its a steampunk themed issue, I made a mood concept in that style, but tried to put a bit of a twist in it. It was great to have a bit of a break from my usual style and do a bit more cartoony stuff. :)
Make sure you pick up the mag to check out how I painted the image (there is also a process vid with commentary on the dvd) and to see all the other awesomeness.
Higher res image, more details and close-ups are coming as soon as I get the green light...
...and just to make sure you pick up the right mag, here is the cover:
The Mantis - Speedsculpt (wip 02)
Finally had some time to work a bit on this speedsculpt I started ages ago, this is just a super rough test render, but I kind like the direction its heading... :)
I still kinda feel myself like a noob to this hard surface stuff compared to some of you guys, so I am absolutely open, if you have any suggestions or crits.

Alien Creature Design for Film Pitch
I have done this design for a feature film pitch for the great folks at SoapBox Films about 1.5 years ago. I would do it a bit differently now, but still like the general idea of the creature.

Warhammer 40k / Only War: Headquarters
Happy New Year everyone! I am back from my holiday and I feel this year is going to be a blast! :D
To kick off the new year here comes the first artwork - as the publisher uses some of my illos to promote the newest W40k / Only War book, I also got green light to show the artworks. Love the WWII / diesel punk feel of this part of the 40k universe!

Creature and Character Stuffz
Yo-yo fellaz, I have done most of these ages ago, but they got green light in the past couple of months. The first three done as race / creature concepts for the world of Locus Origin, an upcoming space opera series and rpg. The indian zombie dude and the blue underwater guy were characters for film pitches and done the last one as a demo for my student...
